There’s a lot out there about social media. Understandably so. It’s a worthy topic. But there also is a really strong disconnect with offline reality. Notice the distinction.
In the world of social media, where anybody can self-publish, audiences become fragmented. As they do that, dissent falls by the wayside and, more importantly, the audience becomes an insular mob. The insinuation that everybody has wanted to tweet anonymously is on those same lines.
